Cornwall – German Days Out

Many people do not know this but the South West England is the top destination outside London for Germans visiting the UK. They are drawn to the coastline, history and culture of the region. Its locations also feature in the stories on Rosamunde Pilcher shown on TV in Germany at prime time on Sunday evenings.

Cornwall is only a 40 minute drive from Torquay and visitors can enjoy a day trip to Cornwall. Head to Totnes or Newton Abbot and take the A38 down to Plymouth and across the Tamar bridge and you are in Cornwall.

The most famous names in tourism are all easily accessible: St Michael’s Mount, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Minack Theatre, Tate St Ives, Land’s End, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project are all perennia favourites.

Based in Cornwall was established in 2011 to promote the region to this very important market. Proving an unrivalled source of information on what to do and where to stay on holidays in Cornwall and now Devon and throughout the counties of the South West.
